Textbroker is a content writing site that any freelance writer can join. In my books, this is more of a content mill that you will be writing articles for the site for a low pay. Well, anyhow the site has different types of jobs opening for in-house and freelance writers. You can also look at the site if you’re interested in becoming an Editor, you’re an Author, a Freelance Writer, or you’d like to become a Client Service Representative or even an Author Service Representative. They even have jobs for Account Managers. Most people just join this site as a freelance writer, so they can earn a few dollars with their skills.

This site is only for a freelance writer that lives in the United States only. You must be 18 years of age or older to join this site. When you join, the site requires you to submit a photo ID and a W9 tax form to them.

How It Works:
  • To become a writer on the site, you’ll need to register with the site and complete the author registration form first. The site only accepts US citizens who are 18 years of age or older, a photo ID and your W9 tax form when you register on the site. You’ll need all this in order to complete the authors’ registration form.
  • If you have a field of expertise this needs to be added to the form. They are looking for people in different fields and this is a good way to get hired on.
  • After completing the application process, you’ll be given a test that you must complete. The test will be a writing assignment on a subject the site has chosen.
  • You must write up the assignment and submit this to the company. If you want to work here and earn money, then treat this assignment like it was a job.
  • After the test, the company will get in touch with you. Normally this takes around a week to see if you’ve passed the test or failed.
  • If you’ve passed the test it is now time to fill out your writer’s profile on your account. It is so important that you do this and also you should pay very close attention to the section about general information. This is how you’ll be selected for writing assignments.
  • Now go and search on the site for an assignment that you want to write. You’ll have 24 hours to complete this assignment and upload it to the site.
  • The client has the opportunity to return the assignment to you and ask you to make revisions to your work. When you take one assignment this must be completed before you can accept another one. This doesn’t count for rewrites on an assignment that you’ve turned in.
How Are You Paid?

The site will pay on a weekly basis. You can request your money each week from your account. The site sends your money to your PayPal account. Don’t worry about paying the PayPal fees, the site handles this one for you.
